Enify Roles
What roles let you do — and what they do not decide Enify roles control what features you have access to. Workspace sharing controls what information you see. This article explains roles only.
What each role can do in a workspace
Enify uses roles to control what actions users can take.
Roles do not control what information a user can see — that is managed through workspace sharing.

1. How Roles Work
Enify roles decide what you can do, such as:
-
Edit or create content
-
Change screen layouts
-
Share a workspace
-
Use screen capture/share (if your subscription includes Control)
What you can see is handled elsewhere → by workspace sharing.
2. The Four Roles in Enify
1. Admin
Admins have full functional access.
They can manage workspace structure and all system settings.
Admins can:
-
Edit all workspace content
-
Manage roles inside the workspace
-
Create and edit screen layouts
-
Configure advanced features like screen setup and templates
-
Use and configure Sources (screen capture/share — Control feature)
Admins cannot control what a user sees — that belongs to workspace sharing.
2. Specialist
Specialists handle most daily configuration without changing account-level settings.
Specialists can:
-
Edit workspace content (boards and elements)
-
Create and edit screen layouts
-
Share the workspace with others
-
Assign roles within the workspace
-
Use and share Sources (if Control is enabled)
3. Editor
Editors keep content tidy and updated.
Editors can:
-
Edit boards and elements
-
Create and edit screen layouts
-
Use and share Sources (if Control is enabled)
They cannot share the workspace or manage roles.
4. Viewer
Viewers focus on using the content others prepare.
Viewers can:
-
Open and use elements and boards
-
View Sources (screen capture/share) if they have been shared with them
They cannot edit or change structure.

4. About Sources (Screen Capture/Share)
Some roles include access to Sources, which allow users to share live windows or system views.
This feature is part of Enify Control.
If your organization adds Control, users with the right roles automatically gain Sources functionality.

5. About Workspace Sharing
Workspace sharing defines what content each user can see, independent of role.
Roles = what you can do
Workspace sharing = what you can see
