Enify 2.1.
Released: 07/01/26
Release type: Feature release
In this release
This update introduces automated screen rotation with Carousel, a restructured interface, and targeted changes to navigation, visibility, and system reliability.
- New: Carousel for automated screen content (admin-enabled add-on)
- Changed: Interface structure and navigation
- Improved: Stability, responsiveness, and login reliability
New feature
Carousel
Applies to: Accounts with Carousel enabled (admin-enabled add-on)
Carousel lets you automatically rotate live boards on unattended screens.
It is designed for shared displays and continuous visibility, without user interaction.
How it works
- Uses existing live boards (not snapshots)
- Rotates boards based on timing you configure
- Locks screen interaction using a transparent overlay
Scope & behavior
- Screen interaction is paused while Carousel is running
- Each Carousel supports a defined maximum number of boards per configuration
- If a board cannot load, Carousel automatically skips to the next board
- Admins enable Carousel per subscription
Note: Carousel is a paid add-on and must be activated in your subscription before use.
Navigation & structure changes
Applies to: All users
These changes affect how content is organized and accessed.
- Elements, Externals (previously “running elements”), and Sources now have separate tabs
- Boards and Carousel are managed under separate tabs
- The Layouts window has been redesigned for clearer configuration
- “Open apps on taskbar” has been renamed to Externals
Impact
- Navigation and setup workflows may feel different initially
- Existing boards, layouts, and screen configurations are unchanged
✦ Removed features
Applies to: All
The following features have been removed:
- Tags
- Sorting selection
Why
These features were rarely used and increased interface and maintenance complexity.
Note: If your workflow relied on these features, we recommend using consistent naming and layout grouping as alternatives.
✦ Visibility & permission updates
Applies to: All users
- Account and Workspacemember names and rolesare now visible to all users
- No additional contact details or permissions are exposed
Why it matters
This improves team awareness and transparency without changing access control or data security.
