Sources in Enify Control | Live Screen Sharing for Control Rooms and operation centers

What are Sources?  Sources let you share a live view of a screen, application, or window, directly inside Enify, within one network. Unlike dashboards or links, a Source shows what’s happening right now. It updates continuously and can be viewed by others in real time. Sources are built for control rooms and operations centers, where teams need to see the same live view, instantly and in sync. You’ll find Sources in Enify Control.

Why Sources matter in Control Rooms & Operation Centers

In Enify Control, teams work together in shared environments, with multiple screens, shifting priorities, and quick decisions.

In these settings:

  • Opening the same app isn’t always enough

  • Teams need shared situational awareness

  • Everyone must see the same live state at the same time

That’s why we built Sources.

They enable:

  • real-time screen sharing

  • shared visual context across displays

  • instant alignment in operational environments

All within the same network.

What a Source Is

A Source is a live feed of:

  • a specific window

  • a full screen

  • or multiple screens

It updates automatically, no need to refresh or restart. You can show a Source on any Enify-connected display. As long as the user has Enify installed, its even available for users without access to the original tool.

This makes Sources ideal for:

  • operations centers

  • control rooms

  • incident response setups

  • shared monitoring environments

How to Share a Source

  1. Click Share Source

  2. Choose what to share:
     • A specific window
     • A full screen (or multiple screens)

Once sharing starts:

  • The Source appears with a live preview

  • A yellow frame shows what’s being shared

  • A sharing icon appears on your screen

These indicators make it easy to see what’s live.

How to Use a Source

  1. Drag a Source onto any screen

  2. Show the same Source across multiple displays

  3. Move or replace Sources without stopping the application

The app keeps running normally, even while it’s shared.

Visibility and Access Control

Because Sources may show sensitive information:

  • Only members of the same workspace can view them

  • Workspace members are listed at the top-right of the app

  • If someone can’t see a Source, they may not be part of that workspace

  • It can only be shared between users on the same network

When to Use Sources

Use Sources when your team needs:

  • real-time screen visibility

  • shared understanding across displays

  • synchronized decision-making

They’re ideal for:

  • control rooms

  • operations centers

  • incident handling

  • situational awareness displays

  • multi-screen environments
